Every great software product has great documentation. We are working hard to deliver to this high expectation. We need people with many skills in the documentation team.
How you can contribute
First and foremost, we need people to accept ownership of specific documents. This does not mean that you will need to write the entire document by yourself, but rather you will create the basic style and outline, and then solicit help from others to help flesh in the content and review it for accuracy. We also need people to write individual sections for the major documents, even as small as instructions for using a single module.
In addition to technical writers, we have an immediate need for a few excellent 'demos' of key Rainbow features using the Viewlet technology.
Our Priorities
Our immediate goal is to create meaningful and accurate content for the most important parts of Rainbow. This starts with user and administration tools, followed quickly be developer guides. After we have a suitable body of meaningful content we will then work to refine the style, process, and delivery mechanisms.
